FRIDAY NIGHT PIZZA

April 17 - 3-7pm

Join us on the third Friday of each month, from 3-7pm, for PIZZA NIGHT.

The guys from Let Um Eat will serve up classic favorites, along with a monthly special, in our amazing outdoor wood-fired pizza oven.

You can eat here, while sipping on a perfectly paired wine, or take your pie to go (don't forget to grab a bottle, to go with it).

Love oysters but suffer from shucking anxiety? Come and learn the tricks of the trade from Oyster Social's chef/owner Jaret Foster. The knife will be in your hands as you take a crack at half a dozen bivalves. And, by no coincidence, we have the perfect wines to pair with oysters. The wines for this shuckfest will focus on our aromatic dry whites: Muscat, Pinot Blanc, and Riesling!

Our good friend, the amazing Jason French, is a master of pairing food and wine using unexpected flavors and ingredients. We will taste components and discuss the way flavors such as acidity, salt, and smoke change how our palates perceive food and wine. Jason and Jess will guide you through a line up of Brooks single vineyard Rieslings from different vintages for this exercise in pairng.

Brooks Estate is not only a vineyard, but a piece of history in the Eola Amity Hills. Put on your boots and grab a glass of Rastaban. We are heading into the vineyard to hear the stories of the landscape from the man who planted it in 1973, Don Byard, while learning about the changes in farming practices and cultivation from our vineyard manager, Shane Moore. We will learn about the vineyard while we drink several vintages of Brooks Estate wines and even taste a bottle of Don's wine from the 1980's!

Victor Panichkul is a longtime food and wine journalist, recipe developer and chef. He’s currently the wine, food and beer columnist for the Statesman Journal. His food blog was recognized as one of the country’s top regional cuisine blogs by Saveur Magazine.

You may have notived the wood fired pizza oven at the new Brooks Winery. It's not just for show as we will be hosting pizza parties every third Friday afternoon in our tasting room. On August 23rd, Karl and Jimmy from LetUmEat, will teach you how to make perfect pizza dough and we will use ingredients grown in our garden to make the most delicious sauce. Learn how to toss like you're Italian while sipping Pinot and eating pies on the patio. We will be drinking like we're Italian as well, with a very special wine pairing of 2006 Del Rio Vineyards Sangivese made by our own Chris Williams.

Following the pat of the late Jimi Brooks, we practice biodynamics. It's a way to farm but also a philosophy for how one lives and threats their world. It's about healing the Earth and thinking about the future of agriculture. Clay Wesson, our biodynamic farmer, will demystify some of the processes we practice on this ascending moom, Flower Day (you will learn what this means) as we sip through several vintages of Brooks biodynamic focused wines Rastaban and Sweet P.

October is a busy time when harvest is in full swing in the Willamette Valley. We invite you to take a glimpse into harvest at Brooks. Our winemaker, Chris Williams, will take you on a behind the scenes tour of what happens as grapes are transformed into wine. You will taste the just-pressed grape juice and compare with Brooks current release finished wines. This is a unique opportunity to peek behind the curtains at our new winery.
